Hey friends, colleagues, and followers,
If you’ve been following me on social media, you may have noticed some big announcements recently. I wanted to take a moment to fill you all in on what’s new and exciting in my world—and more importantly, how we can collaborate and grow together!
Let’s Start with the Big Opportunity
First things first: I’m available to work with brands and businesses in a Fractional CMO role, as well as for other business partnerships. If you’re serious about growth or innovation—and your business is already making seven figures but you’re ready to take it to the next level—let’s talk.
Here’s the thing: I’ve scaled businesses from $9 million to $28 million in under three years. I’ve introduced new product categories that added $50 million annually. I’ve even been credited with changing the daylight tubular skylight industry. So, if you’re ready to make big moves and set your business up for the future, let’s have a conversation.
Now, onto some exciting news…
This Summer, I Revived Two Major Brands
Designwal: The Interior Design & Home Goods Social Platform
Designwal is back! It’s a social media platform built exclusively for the interior design and home goods industry. Designers and manufacturers can connect, share, and grow their businesses using our unique set of tools. When I first launched Designwal in 2014 (back then it was Dezignwall...we reached 500k monthly new visitors in only 1 year and 9 months).
What makes Designwal stand out? We are the only social media network created specifically for the interior design and home goods community, with a focus on both private and public engagement features designed to meet the industry’s needs.

Join inCrowd: Where Networking Meets Community
I also brought back Join inCrowd, a platform built to empower people to network on their own terms. What’s different about Join inCrowd? Unlike typical digital business cards, we let you control how, when, and where you share your info. It’s networking made personal, with features that cater to different crowds—whether you’re connecting with friends, colleagues, or new prospects.

Why Does This Matter?
Two Big Reasons
1. Platforms vs. Websites
Platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are user-generated ecosystems—users create profiles, content, and connections. Designwal and Join inCrowd are platforms too, where members can grow their businesses and personal brands. Platforms don’t just “sell” something—they create communities, and that’s what I bring to the table.
2. Platform Building & Community-Based Marketing
Most businesses are transactional. You have a product or service, and you’re constantly marketing it. But think about Facebook, LinkedIn, or Medium—those platforms would be empty if users didn’t create content. Yet, they generate billions annually. What I do for businesses is help create a platform-like experience, or even an actual platform if needed. This shift in mindset is critical.
Why does this matter...to YOU?
Brands globally use these platforms every day, yet 99.99999% of them don’t understand why or how they work. Most businesses still think transactionally, but I can help you think in terms of “platform.”
Here’s an Example: Starbucks
Right now, Starbucks is facing some challenges. When Howard Schultz founded it, he envisioned a community around coffee—a place where friends and colleagues could meet. Starbucks was a platform for social interaction, built around coffee.
But over time, they’ve strayed. Gimmicky seasonal drinks, drive-thrus, and louder music have pushed customers out of their spaces. What if Starbucks leaned into coworking culture? What if they embraced the rise of remote work and freelancing, by offering coworking spaces? They could fill the void left behind by WeWork and reengage the business class. That’s the kind of conceptual space I live in.
Am I All Over the Place?
Absolutely. And That’s the Point.
You may see my books, audio courses, tech companies, podcasts, and think, “This guy is all over the place.”
You’d be right!
But here’s the thing: every concept generates revenue. And they all run autonomously.
That’s the model I can help you repeat.
Right now, I have:
29 tech companies
2 nonprofits
9 small businesses
3 podcasts
3 digital magazines
I’m a Fractional CMO for 5 brands
And I advise over 3 dozen startups
...And, I’m writing this newsletter while sitting in Cancun, Mexico. I’m traveling the world, managing these businesses remotely.
What Does This Mean for You?
Most of us were taught to be employees, even many business owners are just self-employed. But true business ownership means creating a company that serves your niche while freeing you to own, not run, your business. If you’re ready to scale financially, make big changes, and set your business up for long-term success, we should talk.
Let’s work together—whether it’s as a Fractional CMO, a partner in community building, or to simply help you grow. I only work with people who want to do BIG things—and who can afford to do BIG things. If that sounds like you, let’s get started.
Here’s to doing BIG things together.
Cheers!
Joseph Haecker
