In 2017 I went LIVE on Facebook for the first time. I had 1200 followers (MAX). I was sitting in a hotel room the night before, and created an event, with the title, "F*ck the trends". That next morning, I had 2.2K people watching me LIVE, and 30K watched that video within 24 hours. That rant would go on to become a 1-Hour a week Facebook LIVE talk show, inspiring others to launch their shows, and would be watch over 3.2 Million times in 2018.
I regularly guest on 3-5 podcasts each week, talking on a range of topics.

Getting booked on podcasts is an excellent way to increase your reach and build your personal brand. However, with so many podcasts out there, it can be challenging to know where to start. In this blog, we'll discuss five tips for getting booked on more podcasts.
Research and target relevant podcasts - The first step in getting booked on more podcasts is to research and target relevant shows. Look for podcasts that cover topics related to your book's theme or your area of expertise. You can use podcast directories like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts to search for shows, or you can use podcast outreach services like Podmatch or PodcastGuests to find hosts looking for guests.
Personalize your pitch - Once you've identified podcasts that you want to appear on, it's essential to personalize your pitch. Avoid sending generic pitches and instead take the time to research each show and host. Mention specific episodes that you enjoyed or topics that you think would be a good fit for their audience. Personalizing your pitch shows that you've done your homework and are genuinely interested in appearing on their show.
Provide value - When you're a guest on a podcast, it's essential to provide value to the audience. Share your expertise, tell engaging stories, and provide actionable tips and advice. By providing value to the audience, you increase your chances of being invited back on the show and being recommended to other podcast hosts.
Be prepared - Before you appear on a podcast, make sure you're prepared. Research the host's interview style and prepare talking points and anecdotes that are relevant to the show's theme. Make sure you have a reliable internet connection, a good microphone, and a quiet space to record. Being prepared ensures that you're able to give your best performance and make the most of your appearance on the podcast.
Follow up - After your appearance on a podcast, it's essential to follow up with the host. Send a thank you email or message, share the episode on your social media platforms, and offer to promote the show to your audience. Following up shows that you're invested in the host's success and increases the likelihood of being invited back on the show.
